Gov Buni Bags Vanguard Newspaper Gov. Of The Year Award.

The editorial team of Vanguard Newspapers today presented His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni CON COMN, with a letter of  best Governor of the Year award.

 In a statement signed by the Director General press and media affairs to the governor Alhaji Mamman Muhammad said the  governor’s nomination was based on his developmental policies.

Presenting the letter to the Governor, the  Deputy Editor, Adekunle Adekoya, said the nomination of Gov. Buni was based on his outstanding performance in infrastructural development across the state.

“The editorial board has been following positive developments across the state keenly.

“This award is worthy and deserving, and intended to serve as a springboard for more performance” he said.

Gov. Buni commended the Newspaper for its independent investigation of development across the state.

“I hereby dedicate this award to the good people of the state, the beneficiaries of the programmes and projects” Gov. Buni said.

The award is to be formally presented to the Governor on 24th April 2026 at a ceremony in Lagos.
