Gov. Buni Presents over N515 billion 2026 Budget to the state Assembly.

Yobe State Gov. (Dr) Mai Mala Buni CON has presented a budget of Five Hundred and Fifteen Billion, Five Hundred and Eighty-Three Million Naira (N515,583,000,000) for the 2026 fiscal year to the state House of Assembly.
Tagged BUDGET OF ECONOMIC GROWTH AND INFRASTRUCTURAL TRANSFORMATION is to service capital, recurrent, overhead and personnel costs.

This is against the Three-Hundred and Twenty Billion, Eight-Hundred and Eleven Million Naira (N320,811,000,000) of the outgoing year.
The budget provides the sum of One Hundred and Ninety-Two Billion, One Hundred and Twenty-Eight Million Naira (N192,128,000,000) representing 37.3% of the recurrent expenditure.

The sum of Three Hundred and Twenty Three Billion, Four Hundred and Fifty-Five Million Naira (N323,455,000,000) representing 62.7% of the budget is earmarked for capital expenditure.
The Governor listed healthcare delivery, education, agriculture and infrastructural development, including road construction, electricity, water supply and others, among key areas that received government attention in the outgoing year.
Gov. Buni said the government would establish a dialysis centre in Gashua to provide succour to kidney patients “Government achievements would also construct a new General hospital in Potiskum to decongest the Specialist hospital” in 2026.
