Gov. Lawal assures corps members posted to Zamfara of adequate security, welfaGov. Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, on Tuesday assured members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) posted to the state, of adequate security and premium welfare.

Lawal gave the assurance at the closing ceremony of the 2023 Batch ‘B’ Stream II orientation course, held at Government Science Secondary School, Gusau, the temporary NYSC orientation camp in the state.

The governor charged the corps members to be hard working and dedicated to duty.

He urged them to be good ambassadors of their respective families, NYSC, Zamfara and Nigeria in general.

“My administration is committed to the security and welfare of the corps members to enable them to carry out all their responsibilities.

“All corps members posted to Zamfara would receive all the support needed from the government to settle down and serve our fatherland,” Lawal said.

The governor further promised the corps members that those who distinguish themselves during the service year will be adequately rewarded and honoured by the state government.

He commended the management of the NYSC in the state for the support and cooperation to his administration.

Earlier, the state NYSC Coordinator, Alhaji Abdussalam Alhassan, commended the governor for the visit, describing it as a welcome development and encouragement to the scheme.

Alhassan also appreciated the state government for embarking on total renovation of the NYSC Permanent Camp located in Tsafe town, Tsafe local government area of the state.
