Governor Bala Mohammed’s Leadership in Infrastructural Development Earns Prestigious Award

A political group, Kaura Ambassadors Network (KAN), has commended Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State for his proactive approach to infrastructural development, which earned him the prestigious Urban Renewal Award.

Governor Mohammed was honored with this award by The Best Strategic (TBS) Media in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation at the 2024 Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS).

During a press conference on Sunday in Bauchi, Mr. Muslim Maigari, Director General of KAN, expressed the group’s admiration for Governor Mohammed. Maigari emphasized that the award highlights the crucial role of proactive governance in enhancing infrastructure, significantly improving the quality of life for citizens.

“Governor Bala has implemented a comprehensive strategy aimed at addressing the infrastructure deficit in the state,” said Maigari. “His approach is characterized by foresight, strategic planning, and timely execution of infrastructure projects across various sectors, including transportation, healthcare, education, and utilities.”

Maigari detailed the governor’s significant investments in expanding and upgrading the state’s transportation network, including constructing new roads, bridges, and modernizing public transportation systems to improve connectivity and accessibility.

Concerned by the deplorable state of infrastructure following decades of poor governance, Governor Mohammed declared a state of emergency on critical infrastructure in 2023, focusing on roads, education, and healthcare facilities. Maigari highlighted the transformative impact of these efforts, noting the numerous landmark projects across the state as evidence of the governor’s visionary leadership and passion for positive change.

Additionally, Maigari praised Governor Mohammed for creating opportunities for youth to take on critical roles in government, underscoring his belief that properly mentored young leaders can drive the much-needed transformation in Nigeria.

“This is a testament to your abiding faith that young, fresh talent, when properly mentored, can usher in a new dawn that Nigeria is desperately yearning for,” Maigari stated. “We pledge our unalloyed loyalty to your administration and assure you of our continuous support and prayers for its success.”

Maigari called on all well-meaning citizens of Bauchi State to rally behind Governor Mohammed’s vision for a New Bauchi, a reality that will resonate for generations to come.
