Governor Buni Demands Accelerated Completion of Damaturu Drainage Project
Governor Mai Mala Buni today conducted an on-site inspection of the Damaturu drainage project, urging contractors to expedite its completion before the rainy season.
He emphasized the urgency of the project, stating that delays could lead to flooding and damage to homes.

“This project must be completed before the rains begin,” Governor Buni insisted. “Any delays are unacceptable.”

The Governor reiterated the state government’s commitment to fulfilling its contractual obligations to ensure timely project completion and will continue to closely monitor its progress.

This project is part of a larger initiative to construct water channels and embankments in Damaturu and Buni Yadi to mitigate flooding and support irrigation.
