Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration has revolutionized governance in Yobe State by implementing cutting-edge systems like the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) and Electronic Government Procurement System (e-GP). 

These initiatives have boosted transparency, accountability, and efficiency, earning recognition from the World Bank and Federal Ministry of Finance. In addition, Yobe State was ranked top-performing in the Northeast and first in Investment Project Financing nationwide. This achievement underscores the administration’s commitment to prudent financial management and good governance.”

Yobe State’s healthcare landscape has undergone significant transformation, driven by initiatives aimed at enhancing access and quality. With 140 PHCs established or rehabilitated.Upgraded six Primary Health centers to General Hospitals, four General Hospitals to Specialist hospitals. Re-equipped the Teaching hospital with State-of-the-art facilities, and established Nigeria’s largest maternal and child care center all in a bid to bring Healthcare delivery to the doorstep of the people.  

The Buni”s administration expanded Free Healthcare Scheme and Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) further underscore the administration’s commitment to providing essential healthcare services to vulnerable populations, marking a crucial step towards rebuilding and strengthening the state’s healthcare system.

Yobe State’s government has made significant strides in addressing poverty and promoting socioeconomic development, particularly in the aftermath of the Boko Haram insurgency. By establishing the Ministry of Wealth Creation, Empowerment, and Employment Generation, the administration has demonstrated its commitment to empowering youth and women. 

The Youth Empowerment initiative has been instrumental in driving post-insurgency recovery and wealth creation, while education and skills acquisition programs, job creation, and entrepreneurship opportunities have provided a foundation for long-term growth and stability.”

Employment of over 2,670 graduates, diploma, and NCE holders across 17 local government areas. Recruitment of over 4,000 new staff and training of 26,000 teachers, resulting in increased school enrollment and improved learning outcomes

Additional achievements include: Distribution of irrigation water pumps and accessories to boost agricultural productivity.

Provision of commercial vehicles for transportation and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Empowerment of thousands of rural youths with skill-acquisition materials, such as sewing machines, barbing saloon kits, pasta-making machines, and hairdressing materials. These initiatives demonstrate the administration’s commitment to driving progress and development in Yobe State.
