The Voice Media Trust (VMT NEWS) recalls that the President was scheduled to depart Abuja on Wednesday for the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg, and later the AU-EU Summit in Luanda.
However, Onanuga said that Tinubu suspended his departure due to the security breaches in Kebbi and the fatal attack in Kwara.
The President also awaits reports from Vice President Kashim Shettima, who visited Kebbi on his behalf, and from security agencies investigating the attack in Kwara.
Tinubu reiterated his directive to security agencies to secure the release of the 24 abducted schoolgirls and ensure their safe return home.
