Journalists undertake tour of Yobe Governor’s developmental strides.

In continuation of the media tour led by the commissioners of information and that of housing, Hon. Abdullahi Bego and Architect Ahmad Buba Kyari the team visited some strategic road constructions projects meant to open up movement and boost economic activities across rural communities.

The tour led by the two commissioners, was meant to acquaint journalist with first hand information on the stages of infrastructural transformation efforts of the state government.
While at Gashua, Dumburi and Masaba road project site Alhaji Abdullahi Bego said previously the axis struggled with poor access road especially during the rainy season when travels along the road became nearly impossible saying the hum of construction equipment signals a new chapter of connectivity, safety and renewed hope.
The road project, initiated under the Buni people centered infrastructure agenda, is designed to ease movement of farm produce to markets, reduce travel time, and strengthen social and economic ties among communities. traders, farmers and commuters pointing out that the development will significantly cut transportation costs and improve access to healthcare, education and security surveillance.
He described the Gashuwa–Dumburi–Masaba road as a critical link that aligns with the administration’s commitment to inclusive development and balanced growth across all zones of the state.

They believe that the road will not only enhance daily activities but also attract investors and accelerate development in the area.
The team also inspected the Nguru, Balanguwa to kumaganam 30 kilometer completed rural access road project to ease the movement of goods and services in the area.

Briefing newsmen the Director civil engineering, Garba Umar said the project is at its completion stage and will be ready for commissioning soon.
the team was also in Yunusari and Machina inspected completed and ongoing construction of modern markets and completed sesame seeds processing company.
Briefing journalist on the project, the two commissioners said machina is one of the most historic towns in Yobe bordering Niger republic adding that the market will great enhance agricultural and commercial activities along the border communities..

They assured that government deemed it necessary to construct the market to provide an enabling environment where marketers, businessmen and women can transact for economic advancements saying the markets includes 4 ultra modern and 5 modern markets in Damaturu, Potiskum, Gashua and Nguru.
Others are Yunusari, Machina, Ngalda, Buni Yadi and ongoing construction of Gaidam.
The commissioners explained that the sesame seed processing plants were located across five towns of Machina, Nguru, Potiskum and Damaturu to expand the sesame seeds business by providing processing hubs.

Similarly, the team also inspected Nguru- Balanguwa- Kumaganam 30 kilometer completed rural access road project to ease transportation of farm produce.
Briefing journalist the director civil engineering service ministry of works Engineer Garba Umar said the project is at the completion stage and expected to be commissioned soon.
