Kidnappings of students, effort to discourage pursuance of education in Nigeria – Students’ society

The Muslims Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) has said that the incessant kidnappings of students in the Northern part of the country is an effort to discourage pursuance of education in the region.

The National President of the association, Malam Shehu Usman- Abubakar, said in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday that more should be done to put a stop as urgently as possible.

” The government, should as well note that education is the major source of strength and power to every nation and community in the world.

“As kidnapping has reached to the extent of affecting schools, we as members of MSSN view that as an effort vested towards discouraging the pursuit education, especially to the educationally backward communities of the northern part of the country.

“Therefore, more should be done to put a stop to that with all might and as urgent as possible.”
