Kwara APC Crisis: Group Challenge Lai, Gbemi To List Achievements
A political group under the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kwara State Chapter operating on the aegis of ‘Global Like Minds Movement’ on Monday called on the two Ministers representing the state in the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and Senator Gbemisola Saraki to come and give account of their contributions to the development of the state since they were appointed.
“Development of a state is collective work and we are using this period to call on the Alhaji Lai Mohammed and Senator Gbemisola Saraki to come and tell us what they have contributed to the growth of the state since they took over that position”, the group said.
The group also called on aggrieved members in the party to make their demands from Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq know to the general public instead of going on destructive ways.
The group Coordinator, Alhaji Omar Aiyelabegan in Ilorin, said the aggrieved member must realize that this is a new era in kwara politics and governance stressed that everyone must wake up to the reality that general interest towards the development of the state is more important than any personal interest under this administration.

According to him “ It’s an open fact that our party, APC, is facing crisis and we don’t want that type of crisis to continue, because it is being perpetuated by political job seekers and people who want to benefit out of the current unpleasant situation. That is why we want
to put the record straight”
“Many people who have held different positions in the past want to be recycled, because they have not been picked that is why they are causing the crisis in the ruling APC in the state”
“However, I don’t want to blame them. They are used to that style because majority of them one way of the other have been part and parcel of the previous administration which held dominion for more than 40 years. How do you compare a government that has spent barely two years with another that stayed there for 40 years. Those fanning the crisis want to continue to be relevant as they used to be. They want the status quo to continue that is why some of them are shouting”
“Although, some are ignorantly following them to disturb the peaceful coexistence of the state. What we need from government now is not politics. We need governance and good governance begins from doing things in your manifesto you promised the people. But when there is crisis, the government will take time to manage crisis rather than solving the need of the people. We don’t want that in Kwara state”
“If they are truly for the development of the state, they should be free and make their demands from Governor know to the general public”
