Longkam takes over as FRSC sector Commander in Kaduna
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kaduna Sector Command, has announced a change in its leadership following a recent redeployment approved by the Corps Marshal.
The announcement is contained in a statement issued on Thursday in Kaduna by the Command’s Public Education Officer, Route Commander Usman Garba.
Garba said the outgoing Sector Commander, Tijjani Iliyasu, has been redeployed to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Sector Command.
He disclosed that Andrew Longkam has assumed duty as the new Sector Commander in Kaduna.
“Until his appointment, Longkam served as the Sector Commander in Yobe State.
“He brings with him extensive operational experience, administrative competence and strategic leadership, having served in various capacities within the Corps.”

Longkam expressed appreciation to the outgoing commander for his dedication and contributions to improving road safety culture, enforcement operations, public enlightenment and stakeholder collaboration in the state.
The new sector commander assured residents of sustained commitment to safer roads, reduction in crashes, prompt rescue services and enhanced public education in line with the corps’ mandate.
He urged members of the public, transport unions, fleet operators, government agencies and other stakeholders to support the new leadership toward improved service delivery and safer highways across the state.
