Man jumps into a river after allegedly taking hard drug – Police

The Police Command in Lagos State says a 45-year old man, simply identified as Kazeem, has allegedly jumped into a river and died after taken hard drug suspected to be Colorado.

The Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday.

The spokesperson said that the Alagbado Police Division, on Friday at about 11.00 a.m. got information about the incident.

Hundeyin said that the informant told the police that the deceased under the influence of suspected hard drug ran uncontrollably and jumped into a river at Odo Tente, boundary between Lagos and Ogun.

He said the deceased allegedly drown and died in the river before help could come.

The image maker said that the scene was visited by detectives from the division and photographed the area, while the corpse was evacuated.

Hundeyin said that the father of the deceased, when contacted through the telephone, directed that the corpse should be buried immediately by the river side according to their tradition.

He said that investigation was ongoing.
