Media and disability care initiative in collaboration with Yobe govt organizes campaign against drugs abuse

Media and disability care initiative in collaboration with Yobe state government have organised a town hall meeting and road walk campaign against drugs abuse across the state.

 Speaking during the meeting the executive director media and disability care initiative comrade Rajab Muhammad Ismail applauded Yobe government under Dr Mai Mala Buni for the support and cooperation given to the organisation towards educating and enlightening public on the dangers of using unlawful drugs.

 The executive director of the organisation comrade Rajab Muhammad said the majority of crimes carried out by youths are under the influence of hard drugs and stressed the need for proper awareness on them to achieve a healthy and a more progressive society.

Comrade Rajab Muhammad who is also the chairman Nigeria union of journalists Yobe state council equally said gradually the awareness campaign is yo be extended to other parts of the state and called on the good members of the society to continue to give their maximum support and cooperation to achieve success in the fight against illegal drugs in the state.

 In their separate remarks the permanent secretary ministry of youth, sports and social development, executive secretary primary healthcare management board, commandant NDLEA Yobe state command, focal person on drugs abuse, police public relations officer and the director civil network organisations cautioned youths on the dangers of drugs abuse.
