Minister of State Regional Development inspects, Commissions NEDC projects in Taraba

The Minister of State, Regional Development Alhaji Uba Maigari has inspected ongoing projects and commissioned others executed by the North East Development Commission NEDC across Taraba State.
Alhaji Maigari and the leadership of the NEDC visited projects sites in the Three senatorial zones of the State in continuation of the commission’s ongoing commissioning and handover of completed intervention projects to State Governments across the Six states of the North-East region.
The Commission’s delegation is led by the NEDC Chairman, Maj. Gen. Paul Tarfa, NEDC MD/CEO Mohammed G. Alkali, National Assembly Members, Executive Directors, Members of the Governing Board, and Management Staff of the Commission.
The visit is part of NEDC’s commitment to strengthening development partnerships with state governments and ensuring the timely delivery of impactful projects that improve livelihoods and accelerate sustainable growth across the region.
While on a courtesy call on Governor Agbu Kefas, Taraba state governor at TY Danjuma House said the team was in the state to inspect ongoing projects NEDC embarked on in the state and also commission the completed projects for proper use.
Uba while thanking the Taraba state government for provision of conducive environment and cooperation during execution of the completed projects said the NEDC under administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is poised to site People’s oriented projects inline with the “Renew Hope Agenda” of Mr. president.

He call on the people of the state to remain steadfast, dedicated and supportive to both the government of Governor Kefas and President Tinubu to benefit more dividends in the remaining years to come.
The projects that were commissioned and handed over to Taraba state government includes. 60 bed capacity male and female ward (renovated and equipped) 3 number of 2 bedroom staff quarters, fencing of staff quarters, 3 number of boreholes and solar street lights at General Hospital Zing.
Another milestone project commissioned and handed over to the state government was the Taraba State Entrepreneur Center, sited at Taraba State University Jalingo, the center is constructed and fully furnished by the NEDC with equipment to train under graduates on self reliance.
Collecting the keys of the projects, the Taraba state commissioner for humanitarian Hon. Savior Noku who represents Governor Kefas thank NEDC for provisions of the amenities, Noku promised judicious use of the facilities at the University to turn graduates from the institution to job creators.
The commission also inspects the Government Science Secondary school Donga that has suffered serious dilapidation over the years and is marked for renovation and general refurbishment for on the spot assessment.
