NADCEL 2023: Army Sensitizes Secondary School Students In Sokoto

As part of the activities to mark this year Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) Nigerian Army has sensitized students of federal government college Sokoto (FGC) on the activities  and prospect in Nigerian Army.

In a 30 minutes video projected to the students to heralds the history, activities and the formation of Nigerian Army.

Briefing journalists after the event the General Officer Commanding 8 Division and commander joint task force North West Operation Hadarin Daji Maj Gen Godwin Michael Mutkut represented by the Garrison commander of the Division Brig Gen Taye Ahmed said 6th July of every year is dedicated as Army Day Celebration hence lining up of activities before the day.

General Mutkut noted that Nigerian Army has exceptionally done well in the area of protection of Nigeria territorial integrity , containing of  insurgency in the North East, banditry in The North West, , secessionists in the East and  oil thieves in the South.

He further explained that as part of Army cooperate social responsibility it has provided free medical services to its host communities.

He maintained that the hallmark of Army work is patriotism and selfless service saying Soldiers lay down their lives for others to sleep with their two eyes close.

He said as part of the activities for this year Army Day Celebration there was Juma’at  prayer at mosque on Friday, interdenominational Sunday service at the Barack on Sunday..

He also said there is going to be free medical outreach for the people of the state before the end of the celebration.

The highlight of the event is the entertainment of questions from the students and answers from the Garrison commander.
