Nasarawa Assembly confirms Bala new Auditor General, urges transparency
Nasarawa State House of Assembly has screened and confirmed the appointment of Mr Kefas Bala as the new Auditor General of the state.
Dr. Danladi Jatau, the Speaker of the House who made the announcement on Monday, urged him to ensure transparency and accountability in carrying out his duties.
Jatau while congratulating Bala on his appointment, urged him to discharge his duties with the fear of God.
Speaking during the screening, members from his Local Government , Jonah Dizaho (PDP Karu/Gitata) and Mr Musa Gude APC (Uke/Karshi), described Bala as a man of integrity with wealth of experience.
They called on members to support the nomination of Bala by Gov. Abdullah Sule as State Auditor General.

On their parts, Mr Daniel Ogazi and Mr Solomon Akwashiki, advised to adhere strictly to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria while discharging his duties in the interest of accountability.
Ogazi advised Bala to report and query all MDAs found wanting in handling their finances in the interest of transparency and accountability in the State.
Earlier, Mr Suleiman Azara, the Majority Leader of the House moved a motion for the confirmation of Bala as the State Auditor General.
Mr Luka Zhekaba, the Minority Leader of the House seconded the motion.
The House unanimously screened and confirmed Bala as the State Auditor General.
