The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has extended its condolences to the government and people of Niger State following a tragic petrol tanker explosion along the Bida-Agaie-Lapai Highway, which claimed the lives of 48 people and numerous livestock.
In a statement signed by its chairman, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, the NGF on Tuesday commiserated with the families of the victims, prayed for the repose of their souls, and wished a swift recovery for the injured.
The Forum emphasized that the incident underscores the need for all road users to prioritize safety at all times.
