NGWA donates cash assistance to rape survivors in Zamfara

The Nigerian Governor’s Wives Association (NGWA) has donated cash assistance to two rape survivors in Zamfara State.

This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Thursday by the Press Secretary to the First Lady, Zainab Shu’aibu Abdullahi.

The First Lady who presented the assistance to the beneficiaries behalf of the Association, said the gesture is inline with the present administration in The led By Governor Bello Matawallen-Maradun in the fight against Gender Based Violence (BGV) in the state.

“Hajiya Aisha Bello Matawalle represented by the State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hajiya Zainab Lawal Gummi said each of the two beneficiaries was supported with the cash of N100,000 to help them becomes self reliant in future.

She commended the contribution of the  NGWF towards ending GBV in the country.

She appreciate the present administration in the state led by Governor Matawalle for giving priority to women.

“I am using this medium to once again thank My Husband Governor Bello Muhammad Matawallen-Maradun, Shatiman Daular Usmaniyya for supporting various programmes under my office”, the First Lady said.

The Governor’s Wife advised women in the state to use various support given to them by Matawalle’s administration for their future development.

She called on the beneficiaries to utilize the money given to them judiciously, you should use of this support given to you to start up a businesses for your future.

One of the victims appreciated the effort of the Nigerian Governor’s Wives and Zamfara State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bello Matawalle for the love and care they have shown to them.
