Nile University of Nigeria’s Management Team Pays Courtesy Call on TETFund
A 13-person team from Nile University of Nigeria, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dilli Dogo, FNAMed, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Arc. Sonny S.T. Echono.
During the meeting, Prof. Dogo expressed the University’s appreciation to TETFund for its unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions to advancing education in Nigeria. He commended Arc. Echono’s visionary and results-oriented leadership, noting his dedication to ensuring that TETFund’s projects deliver tangible improvements in the country’s tertiary institutions.

Speaking further, Prof. Dogo highlighted Nile University’s devotion to providing world-class education comparable to leading global institutions. He explained that the University is boosting the global competitiveness and employability of Nigerian students through high-quality, 21st-century degree programmes enriched with professional certifications such as ACCA Foundation in Accountancy and Certified Ethical Hacker.
He further noted the University’s continuous investment in faculty development, including training in flipped classrooms and AI literacy, among others, to strengthen teaching and learning outcomes. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of Nile’s strategic alliances with reputable international academic, public, and private sector partners such as the Embassy of France, ACCA, EC-Council University (USA), Vega IT, and the University of Mount Union (USA), which continue to enhance its academic offerings and global relevance.
Prof. Dogo concluded by officially inviting the Executive Secretary to Nile University’s 13th Convocation Ceremony, scheduled for November 19–20, 2025.
In his response, Arc. Echono praised Nile University for its commitment to delivering world-class education and for nurturing young Nigerian talent to thrive in the global arena.

He lauded Prof. Dogo’s leadership and called on him to lend his expertise— particularly in the field of Medicine— to TETFund’s efforts to strengthen the nation’s education sector.
According to Arc. Echono, achieving TETFund’s mandate requires the support of seasoned experts like Prof. Dogo.
He concluded by thanking Nile University for the kind invitation and confirmed his acceptance to attend the convocation ceremony.
