Addressing the members, Muhammed said that, that day the NYSC was 48 years old when General Yakub Gawon established the scheme for the unity of the nation.

“Since then, NYSC as of today has become the most strong pillar in this nation.

“If not because of NYSC, some of you would not know the roads linking to Niger,Kebbi, Zamfara and Kaduna states.

“God has put us together, you already have contacts of your colleagues; I want you to maintain it. Please, be your brothers’ keepers as the person you least expect will be the one to assist you.”

Speaking on the unity of Nigeria, Muhammed, counselled them to think how to unite the nation and shun all the antics of politicians to divide the citizens.

“Forget about religious differences, ethnicity and let us think about how to build the nation.

“We must shun anything that will destroy our nation, our lives.

“You must know that politicians are the problem of this nation. So,please, my dear corps members, please,be patriotic,” the coordinator said.
