Operation Lake Sanity 2: Multinational Force Pushes On Despite ISWAP Propaganda

142

Despite a recent propaganda campaign by ISWAP terrorists, the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) is pressing ahead with Operation Lake Sanity 2, aimed at rooting out Boko Haram insurgents from the Lake Chad Basin region.

The terrorists, in a desperate bid to intimidate local communities, have been spreading false information, urging residents of Kukawa and neighboring areas to flee or face attack. Unfortunately, some media outlets have inadvertently amplified this message, causing unnecessary fear and panic.

However, the MNJTF and Nigerian Operation HADIN KAI troops remain resolute in their commitment to safeguarding the region. They are actively pursuing Boko Haram terrorists, moving swiftly and decisively to neutralize any threats. Their presence and continued operations serve as a robust shield against this menace.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, Chief Military Public Information Officer, “The terrorists’ so-called ultimatum is a clear sign of their frustration and diminishing power. Their capability to conduct ground operations has been significantly impaired, pushing them towards using scare tactics like Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) at every opportunity.”

The MNJTF urges residents of Kukawa and neighboring communities to remain united and vigilant, and to report any suspicious activities to the troops immediately. Collective vigilance and cooperation are essential during Operations Lake Sanity 2 and beyond.

“Our unity is our strength, and together, we can ensure the security of the Lake Chad basin region,” said Lieutenant Colonel Abdullahi.

The operation continues, undeterred by terrorist propaganda, and the multinational force remains committed to restoring peace and stability to the region.
