PDP DENIES FACTION IN ZAMFARA
The Zamfara state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has denied existence of any faction in its structure, saying that the party remained intact in the state.
The state Chairman of the party, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani made the denial at a media briefing in Gusau on Saturday.
Danfulani noted that there was no truth in the claim of existence of any factions within the party in the state named “True PDP”.
According to him, the party remained united under “our leadership, we are not aware of existence of any faction within PDP in the state”.
“Those claiming to be the faction’s leaders, we don’t know them, we are not even sure if they are PDP members.

“I am using this medium to call on the PDP members and general public to disregard such claims, saying that the party is going to investigate the matter and deal with it in legally.
“On the rumor going round that the faction was created by the party to give way for governor Bello Matawalle to defect to the All Progressive Congress (APC), Danfulani said such comments has no evidence”, Danfulani added.
“We are not aware of any move by Gov Matawalle to defect to APC, he has never told us that he will defect from PDP to any political party”, he explained.
Danfulani called on people of the state to use ramadan period and pray for peace and stability in the state.
