Executive Secretary, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Sonny Echono and the Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, others have bagged legacy awards for educational advancement.
The COEASU said in a letter, ”this recognition is a testament to your exceptional leadership, vision, and dedication to excellence in education, particularly your positive disposition to Teacher Education right from the time you were the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education and now as the Executive Secretary of TETFund.”
Echono, while receiving the award from the Minister of State for Education, Dr Yusuf Sununu in Abuja on Friday, thanked President Bola Tinubu for the opportunity given to him to serve.
He pledged to continue to rededicate his efforts toward ensuring that tax payers’ money contributed for the development of education was prudently and judiciously deployed.
“We seize this opportunity to congratulate teachers around the globe for celebrating their day and we feel honoured that they have chosen this occasion to also honour us by giving us the legacy award and inducting us into their hall of fame.
“It is in recognition of our service and contributions during my tenure as Permanent Secretary in the ministry for over four years and Executive Secretary of TETFund.
