POLICE RESCUE KIDNAPED VICTIM AFTER 6 WEEKS IN CAPTIVITY
The Zamfara Police Command has rescued a kidnaped victim Mudassiru Malan who was denied food for six weeks in the hands of the bandits.
This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Tuesday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer SP Muhammad Shehu.
“In view of the ongoing assault on identified bandits locations in the state couple with an extensive search and rescue of the abducted victims by the Police operatives in collaboration with other security agencies and vigilante across the state.
“On 2nd October, 2021 the police tactical operatives in conjunction with the vigilante deployed along Maradun Kaura Namoda local governments areas have succeeded in the rescue of one Mudassiru Malan of Sabon Garin Rini Village in Bakura LGA.

“The victim who was abducted 6 weeks ago has been rescued safely by the Police without any injury sustained by either the victim or the security forces”, Shehu said.
According to him, the abductors refused to give food to the victim for six weeks because his relations could not pay ransom.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Ayuba Elkanah while handing over the rescued victim to his family assured the people of the state of the command’s continued efforts in the fight against banditry, kidnapping and other forms of crimes in the state.
He assured that police and other security agencies will sustain the ongoing onslaught against the activities of recalcitrant bandits and other criminal elements in the State.
The commissioner also promised that other abducted victims who are currently in captivity at various locations are rescued and reunited with their families.
