Ramadan: Council boss donates N10m food items in Nasarawa
The Chairman, Lafia Local Government Council of Nassarawa State, Alhaji Aminu Maifata, has donated food items worth N10 millions to Muslims in the spirit of Ramadan.
Maifata, also the state ALGON Chairman, made the donation in Lafia on Wednesday.

He said that the gesture was to ease the lives of the faithful during and after the Ramadan.
The Voice Media Trust (VMT NEWS) reports that the food items donated included 150 bags of rice, 150 bags of millet and 150 bags of sugar, all 50Kgs.
The chairman urged the beneficiaries to use the food items and not to sale them.
“These food items are for Muslims currently observing the Ramadan.
“This is to complement State Government efforts in putting smile in your faces, especially the faces of the less privileged citizens,” he said.
Maifata solicited the support of the people of the area for his administration and that of Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.

He enjoined residents to co-exist peacefully for development to thrive.
The chairman assured of his administration’s commitment to key into good policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people.
Responding on behalf of other beneficiaries, Mr Mohammed Suleiman, the All Pregressives Congress Chairman of Ciroma Ward, appreciated the council boss for the gesture.
While praying God to bless Maifata, Suleiman assured the chairman of their support and for Sule to succeed.
