Senator Clever M. Ikisikpo, chairman of the local government Congress committee of the All Progressive Congress APC for Taraba state has promised to ensure a level playing field for all members of the party at the local government Congresses scheduled for Saturday.
Ikisikpo who addressed party officials and other stakeholders in Jalingo on Friday said that the success of any political party depends on the level of fairness and justice which in turn commands loyalty from the members.
He said that the party was positioned to take over Taraba state in 2023 but cautioned that the mission could fail if members are not satisfied with the process of choosing those who would man the party and fly the party’s flag in various capacities.

“Taraba state is a great state but I must say that the potentials have not been well tapped and utilized. You must ensure that the state moves to a greater heights by putting the right persons in the right places ahead of the 2023 battle for the soul of the state. Once APC comes on board, you can rest assured that things will change for the better.
“Taraba is a home away from home. I expect you to unite and conduct yourselves well. On our part, we would provide a level playing field for all of you. That is our mission here. To ensure that the congresses hold orderly and peacefully” he said.
The state Chairman of the party Alhaji Ibrahim El-Sudi assured the committee members that “Taraba is a peaceful state. We welcome you and have confidence in you. We would give you maximum cooperation”.
