SIX PDP GOVERNORS STORM ZAMFARA ASK MATAWALLE NOT TO JOIN APC
Six Serving Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors on Wednesday stormed Gusau the Zamfara state capital to urge governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle not to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The six PDP governors are Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state, Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, Darius Ishaku of Taraba state, Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state and Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa state.
The chairman PDP Governors Forum, Aminu Waziri Tambuwwal of Sokoto state said they were in the state to to sympathize with the government and people of Zamfara state over the fire incident at the Tidun Wada central market in Gusau last month.
Tambuwal announced a donation of N100 million by the PDP Governors Forum to the traders who lost the wares during the fire outbreak.

“We the governors of the PDP are not visitors we are coming home, no visitor can replace or supplant the home owner. We are here to sympathize with you over the recent fire inferno at the Gusau market ,” he said.
The PDP Governors Forum chairman described the recent visit by the APC governors and national leadership to Zamfara as a ploy to blackmail Matawalle to join the APC.
Tambuwal said the visit by the APC was politically motivated as the APC governors and leadership never for once cared to visit Zamfara state even when the party was in power in the state when many people were being killed only for them to now show face when no single life was loss in the market fire disaster.
“Where were some of these visitors when all these bad things were happening to the people of Zamfara even when the APC was in charge in the state.
“I pity any leader who want to take advantage of misfortune and play politics with misfortune. We as leaders must always remained as leaders and know where, how and when to play politics.
“It is time for us to come together irrespective of party to save our people from excruciating level of insecurity in Nigeria and particular in Zamfara state.
We must save the people fromthat which is shackling all of us in Nigeria under the leadership of the APC federal government and its monumental failure of the fight against corruption.
Also corroborating the PDP governors stand, governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State chided the APC led federal government for all the recent woes in the country.
“Imagine the insult, a party, afederal government that declared Zamfara a no fly zone, same party is coming to woo you to join them.
“No matter they say, Nigerians are tired, Instead of the party to concentrate to fight insecurity, what the party is doing is moving from one state to the other poach people.
“This is PDP state, nobody can use this to go and take over Zamfara state, APC go and solve Nigeria problems, leave us alone.
Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle thanked the visitors for their visit and donation to the victims of the Tudun Wada market, assuring that the market reconstruction will be completed and the traders be given assistance.
“If a mother abandons her baby by the road side and baby start crying helplessly, even if it is an Almajiri that comes to give the baby food the baby will take the food.
“You said sorry and I accept,” he said.
