Sokoto Gov Urge Intelligence Gathering To Defeat Insecurity

Sokoto’s governor, Ahmed Aliyu has appealed to the people of the state to assist relevant security agencies with useful information as the only way of defeating bad eggs from amongst their communities. 

The governor who made the appeal in Gudu Local Government said those armed bandits terrorism the locals are slowing down the wheel of progress and must be dealt with in their own coins. 

Continuing, the governor expressed heartfelt appreciation 

seeing how the locals came out  en masse to receive him on a thank-you visit to the area. 

Governor Aliyu while insisting that securing any area is a collective responsibility, added that all hands must be on deck to enable them overcome as a government is determined to give the very best to the citizenry. 

The governor renewed the commitment of his administration to making the state safe and secured. 

On what he considered of urgent importance to the local government, the governor pledged to renovate the Balle General Hospital which has been facing serious dilapidation. 

“I have directed the immediate renovation of the Balle Health facility so that our people will continue to enjoy the services provided by the facility.

“I have equally directed the installation of 250 solar powered-street lights across Gudu Local Government Area,” he added.

According to him, the state government has already awarded the contracts for the  renovation of Tangaza to Gudu road to ensure easy access to several communities living along the road. 

In his remarks, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko called on the people of the area to continue to support APC so that they can enjoy more dividends of democracy. 

He commended the leadership style of governor Aliyu, which according to him, has resulted into the massive transformation the state is evenly recording. 

Speaking earlier, the Gudu Local Government Sole Administrator, Umar Mai-Kano Balle, commended governor  for striving to give security the deserved attention. 

“Sir we the people of Gudu are really appreciative of the special attention you are giving this area any time we confront you with issues relating to security,”he added.

The sole administrator also assured the governor of their continued support at all times.
