Sokoto PDP Strategizing To Take Back Power Come 2027–State Chairman

The Sokoto State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Comrade Bello Goronyo has said the party is putting all arrangements in place to ensure a come back to power at the State and national levels come 2027.
Comrade Goronyo who addressed newsmen shortly after their first formal meeting as state executives of the party, said Nigerians have now seen for themselves the abysmal governance failure of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
According to Goronyo, the APC has taken Nigeria backwards in all indices of human development, with insecurity growing on daily basis, cost of living skyrocketing and economic failure very glaring for all to see.
“”The reality alon ground has shown that the party as APC in the state has failed because we all go to the same market and know how things are. And you can see the level of demolition happening here in Sokoto.
“‘Instead of creating employment, the APC led government is generating unemployment. They are demolishing people’s businesses and the federal government is not bordered about insecurity. The simple summary of APC leadership is anti people and anti progress”””. He said.
The State PDP chairman further alleged that, the APC led government in Sokoto has shown that it has no savings hence local governments are unable to pay salaries when federal allocation is not given. And that shows that the State is broke and not having anything in it’s account.

Responding to questions on possible merger plans with other political parties, especially the SPD ahead of 2027, Bello Goronyo said PDP remained the only grassroots party in Nigeria with clearly spelt out ideology.
“PDP is the only grassroots party with membership in every council ward of Nigeria. And do forget that, out of the five political parties registered in 1998 PDP is the only one still standing, and it will continue to be the last man standing”‘.
While admitting that there are dynamics in politics, ””the reality however still remained they will participate in the forthcoming 2027 general election under the platform of PDP inshallah'”, Goronyo affirmed.
