Resident communities in Sokoto state under the auspices of Progressive Nigeria Movement, Thursday staged a protest in support of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko and governor Ahmed Aliyu, saying the #EndBadGovernance/hunger protest was sponsored by those that lost elections in 2023.
According to the Resident Community group, they are objective in their assessment of the development, hence coming to the resolution that the protest was engineered to rubbish the administration of President for paid glory.
Speaking on behalf of the Resident Community group, Comrade Jacob Shehu said they are in total support of the Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko led leadership of APC in Sokoto State and the governor, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto who has carried all along.
According to Jacob, it is too early in the day to say President Bola Ahmed Tinubu isn’t doing enough when he has barely spent just a year in office.
“”As Nigerians, we are honestly amused by the slogan of #endbadgovernance#. This is more so that, we can vividly recall the degree of people- oriented policies of this present government. And for Sokoto in particular, we, the resident communities are solidly behind Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led government””.
Majority of the sampled Resident communities who participated in this counter-protest said: “We are behind Senator Wamakko, Gov. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto and PBAT to say NO to this National Protest”” while urging Nigerians to objectively rate the performance of the present administration with the right guage.
