Stop propagating hate against other religion – Cleric cautions religious leaders

Pastor Olushola Simon of Christ Miracle Church, Ilorin in Kwara, has urged religious leaders to stop propagating hate against other religions.

Simon, who gave the advice on Saturday in Ilorin during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said most religious leaders were fond of condemning other religion of different doctrine and practices.

According to him, most religious leaders promote hate against other religion who have different beliefs and practices from their own.

“Clerics are expected to preach love everytime. Make love your slogan among your members.

“Stop condemning other people’s religion. Encourage your members to love everyone and not hate others with different belief.

“Be the agent of love and not hate. Enough of hate campaign against one another.

“Nigerians should make love their watch word and see others from different religious background as family,” he said.

Simon appealed to the public not to allow leaders to use religion and ethnic differences to cause division among them.
