Taraba govt. to name Wukari general hospital after Kente

Gov. Agbu Kefas of Taraba on Sunday said that his administration intended to build a new general hospital in Wukari and  name it after Chief David Kente.

Kefas made the declaration at the thanks giving Service marking 60th  birthday of   Kente, at the Christian Reform Church of Nigeria (CRCN), in Wukari, Taraba.

The governor therefore, requested Kente, a retired  Director of Finance at the National Assembly, to either offer at subsidized rate, or donate his  parcel of land to the government, saying it was  suitable for the project.

He described the celebrant as a philanthropist, who had touched many lives positively in the state and beyond.

Kefas encouraged Kente to mentor the up coming ones to grow to be impactful to the society.

He advised Kente to continue to be impactful to the society, adding that  good people preseeved good  inheritance for their children.

His Majesty Chief Sopiya Ahmadu, Chief of Takum, thanked  Kente for his support to humanity.

Ahmadu wished him more years and prosperity in all his social endeavors.

Earlier, Chief Kente appreciated God for sustaining and  giving him the grace to clock 60 years of age.

 He thanked the governor and all other dignitaries, who converged to honour him.

While praying to God to open more  ways for him, Kente expressed his determination to continue  to  serve humanity.

The Voice Media Trust (VMT NEWS) reports that  Kente earlier, facilitated the freedom of 15 prisoners,who were serving their jail terms in Wukari Correctional Center.

He also gave cash  donation to cover  transportation fare to the freed prisoners.
