Taraba’s Governor Agbu congratulates Dr Bello on his nomination….. drops “Executive” from his title

Taraba State Governor Dr Kefas Agbu has congratulated Dr. Bala Mohammed Bello Kakara, MON, on his nomination as CBN Deputy Governor by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement issued on Monday and signed by Honourable Emmanuel Bello, SA Media and Digital Communications to the Governor, Agbu described his nomination a great choice made by the President.
“Governor Agbu Kefas heartily congratulate Dr. Bala Mohammed Bello Kakara, MON, on his nomination as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria by President Bola Tinubu. The nomination is an obvious victory for experience and capacity. Dr Bala is a consummate accountant and renowned financial expert. I commend President Tinubu on a great pick. The track records of Dr Bello make the nomination a historic one in the nation’s financial fortunes.
“This administration is committed to partnering with Taraba citizens everywhere to develop the state. We need to put Taraba first, and so I call on all citizens to always make the state part of their agenda, as I look forward to a robust working relationship with the nominee in his new position” the statement read.
Meanwhile, Governor Kefas Agbu has directed that going forward, he should be addressed simply as “Governor of Taraba State” without inserting the title “Executive”.

This directive is contained in a statement issued on Monday in Jalingo and signed by Mr Yusuf Sanda, the Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor.
The statement read in parts that “the public is hereby informed that going forward, Dr. Agbu Kefas will be referred to as “the Governor of Taraba State.”
“For the purpose of clarity, it is best to refrain from using the ‘Executive Governor of Taraba State’ henceforth. All official correspondents and protocol should make use of this identification”.
