Taraba’s Governor Kefas congratulates Olatunji Disu on appointment as IGP

Taraba state governor, Agbu Kefas on Thursday congratulates the newly appointed Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Disu, describing his  appointment as apt and one that will strengthen the security architecture of the country.

In a statement issued on Thursday evening and signed by Hon Emmanuel Bello, SA Media and Digital Communication, the Governor noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made a great choice by taking experience, dedication to duty and character into consideration in the appointment. 

Governor Kefas describe Disu as a consummate police officer who rose through the ranks by dint of hard work and commitment. 

He adds that he has faith the new police chief will add value to the effort to make Nigeria safer.

Pledging his commitment, Governor Kefas said the change of baton is coming at the time the nation needs all hands to be on deck to deal with the crisis of terrorism, banditry, and other nefarious activities.

Dr. Kefas also used the opportunity to assure the new IGP of his unwavering partnership with the police to continue to make Taraba state a safe state for its citizens.

Meanwhile, Dr. Kefas commended the immediate past IGP Kayode Egbetokun for his selfless service to the country. He noted that the past IGP worked harmoniously with all partners to enhance security in the country. Paying further tributes, Dr. Kefas said he had a robust working relationship with the outgoing IGP. The governor wished him all the best in his future endeavours.
