Teachers commend Gov. Bagudu for Eid-el-Kabir gesture

The Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCORPS), has commended Gov. Atiku Bagudu,for the provision of Eid-el- Kabir welfare package to all secondary schools in Kebbi State.

The President of the association, Alhaji Abubakar A.
Sambo, commended the governor while briefing newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.

He said,” It has been the tradition of His Excellency in occasion like this to better the lives of teachers and students by donating cows, foodstuff or cash in kind to schools.

“Remarkably, the gesture has not only been limited to conventional schools but has been extended to sundry Tsangaya schools in the state.

“This invaluable gestures have motivated both students and teachers in their quest to move education sector forward.”

He recalled that the state government provided palliatives to teachers and schools during the peak of covid-19 pandemic.

“It is a fresh thing in our memories that the state government, under the able leadership of Gov. Atiku Bagudu had provided palliatives during the Covid -19 pandemic.

“This has helped tremendously in cushioning the effects of the dreaded scourge in our homes and families, and it would not be forgotten,” Sambo said.

He also commended the myriad of meaningful development taking place in the state especially in the provision of infrastructure and capacity building of teachers to keep abreast with modern development.

The president assured that the teachers would do their utmost best to compliment the efforts of the government in moving the education sector forward.
