Thousands of APC supporters grace APC campaign rally in Shanga
All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters in their thousands have graced the party’s campaign rally in Shanga Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
APC supporters in their thousands thronged the venue of the campaign rally chanting slogans of the party and candidates.
The State APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasiru Idris, Kauran Gwandu told the crowd that APC is the party to beat during the general elections in the state.
Kauran Gwandu, who was the immediate past National President of NUT spoke on Friday during the gubernatorial campaign rally in Shanga Local Government of the state.
Idris, who was visibly elated said that Shanga has remained home to the APC in spite of the ongoing propaganda that the area was the base of the opposition PDP.
He said that APC was a blessing to the people of the state as the present administration of Governor Atiku Bagudu and that of his predecessor, Sa’idu Dakingari had executed an array of developmental projects in the area.
He said the party in Kebbi State has people of integrity and respect.
Idris assured that his government, if elected would sustain the giant strides of the duo and even surpass them.
The APC flag bearer also said that his administration would empower more people in the state along all the strata of the society.

Idris, therefore, urged the people to vote for continuity of development by casting their votes for APC candidates, top to bottom.
“Doing otherwise will be retrogressive and it will never happen. APC candidates should be massively voted during the forthcoming polls” he urged.
The Director-General of the APC gubernatorial campaign council, Ahaji Sa’idu Dakingari urged the people of the area to vote for APC candidates at all levels.
Dakingari, a former Governor of the state said “Voting for APC candidates will ensure sustainable development in all the sectors of the economy.”
He described the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu as a man of proven integrity known for keeping his words.
Earlier, the Secretary to the State Government, SSG Babale Umar Yauri, mni applauded the people of Shanga for their large turn out.
He said Yauri Emirate was the home of APC and would remain so.
The SSG enumerated some developmental projects such as road construction and the citing of Dangote Company in Shanga as part of Governor Bagudu’s untiring efforts.
The House of Representatives member representing Yauri/Shanga/ Ngaski Federal Constituency, Hon. Tanko Sununu Yusuf and Senator Bala Ibn Na-Allah representing Kebbi South federal constituency canvassed for votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran and all APC candidates.
They said voting for APC would sustain developmental projects in the area such as roads, schools and other empowerment programmes.
They enumerated myriad of developmental projects carried out by the APC- led administration in the State.
The State APC Chairman, Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru thanked the people of Shanga for their loyalty and support .
He charged leaders to focus on empowering people to be self reliant and also appealed to eligible voters to collect their PVCs.
The APC Chairman of Shanga Local Government, Hon. Aliyu Babangida , the Zonal Vice Chairman Kebbi South, Alhaji Garba Bakanike and Hon Isyaku Nasarawa, Special Adviser to the Governor reassured the APC gubernatorial candidate , Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu and all candidates of the party that people in the area would vote massively for the party in the general elections .
At the event, hundreds of PDP and NNPP stalwarts dumped their party and joined the ruling APC .
Prominent among the decampees were the former Secretary of PDP in Shanga, Alh. Muhammadu Agwaru, (Mammalo Saminaka) and Alhaji Muhammadu Bube.
They attributed their decision to join the APC to the efforts of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Kebbi State Governor particularly in agriculture and project implementation in the area.
They also cited Bagudu’s benevolence and humanitarian assistance to victims of flood in the area as one of their reason for defection.
