TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation and Tukur & Tukur Foundation Organized a Free Medical Outreach to Honour late Olubadan of Ibadan
Tukur & Tukur Fundation in collaboration with TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation organized a free medical outreach in commemoration of the final burial of the immediate past Olubadan of Ibadan land Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II
The Tukur & Tukur Foundation is an initiative aimed at giving medical and educational support to the vulnerable members of the society which includes women, children, widows, orphans, elderly and physically challenge across Nigeria
The outreach program featured free medical consultations blood pressure test, sugar level test, general body checkup, ear, nose, and throat treatments
Speaking at the outreach event, the former law maker representing Oyo South senatorial district, a younger brother to the late Olubadan, Senator Kola Balogun, expressed his appreciation to the founder of the Foundation for his unwavering support and contributions to Ibadan land and Oyo state as a whole
” Anyone whom God has touched to do something like this, we must appreciate him. So, on behalf of the ruling family, on behalf of Ibadan land and by extension Oyo state and Yoruba people in general, i want to show and express my gratitude to General Buratai and Tukur & Tukur Foundation for this worthy cause. And i have told the beneficiaries to continue to pray for him”
In his address, the Chairman of the Foundation, Col. Haruna Zaria Rt. stated that the medical outreach program was conducted as a tribute to the late Olubadan legacy of service to the people
” Government alone cannot shoulder everything, we Foundation decided to come in to intervene on health and education”
” And because of his good deeds, because of what he had done to his citizens and the Military of course, so that is why we decided to come in to say hello, being a retired army officer and because i have served here before and i have enjoyed his good deeds and that is why i have come to say bye bye to him”

The Medical Records Officer Tukur & Tukur Foundation, Mr. Idris Abdulmumin highlighted the outreach activities
” We started the program by giving the Community drugs, we started with the less privilege, then people with special needs, and the general people of Ibadan State because that is our target. Anyone that comes here with a need, we tried to serve them and during the 3 days of our stay here, we intent to reach at least 7,000 people
Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the foundation for free medical services offered to them.
” Tukur Buratai has done so well, in fact beyond our imagination , during the lifetime of Baba and even after his demised, he has been showing concern to the family.” Prince Bello said
” We appreciate the Tukur Foundation, because many of us didn’t even know that they have diseases living in their bodies until when they were given this opportunity” Mrs. Yamises Olapade
The beneficiaries were also given free essential drugs.
