UMARU SHINKAFI FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTES CASH, RELIEF MATERIALS TO IDPs IN ZAMFARA
Umaru-Shinkafi Foundation has on Friday donated cash and relief materials to 2300 women Internally Displaced Persons at Tsunami IDP camp in Gusau
The IDPs camp in Tsunami area of Gusau LGA mainly who were mainly women and children removed from their communities across the state as a result of the lingering security challenges facing the state.
This is contained in a statement issued to Join in Gusau on Friday by the Media Aide to Hajiya Fatima Shinkafi, the Executive Secretary, Solid Minerals Development Fund, Malam Bashir Kabir Ahmad.
The relief materials distributed to the IDPs comprised food items, clothes and other essential goods.

Speaking at the distribution exercise, an official of the foundation, Hajiya Fatima Umaru Shinkafi said the gesture is aimed at promoting the welbeing of the IDPs.
According to her, the gesture is aim to complement government at all levels in taking care the IDPs.
“One of the activities of the foundation is humanitarian services to vaious categories of vulnerable groups”, She said
She urged the IDPs to consider their condition as a test from the Almighty Allah.
“We should all continue to pray to Allah to overcome the security challenges in the state and country in general”, Shinkafi said.
According to her the foundation is seeking partnership with the state government to offer skills acquisition training to women IDPs in the state.
“If the partnership succeeded, the IDPs would be trained in various skills aimed at uplifting their socio economic status”, She explained.
Malama Aisha Abubakar who spoke on behalf of the IDPs commended the foundation for considering them and supporting them with the cash and items.
She said the gesture will help in reducing hardship and other socio economic challenges in the camp.
