UMCA applauds Gov Idris for fair treatment of all religious adherents
Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris,Kauran Gwandu has been commended for his neutral and fair treatment to adherents of all religions in the State.
The commendation was made by Reverend Dr Gbenga Odebiri, National President of The United Missionary Church of Africa (UMCA) in Birnin Kebbi during a visit to the Governor this Friday.
Governor Idris has also been described as a leader with humility whose administration was anchored on promoting peace and development by uniting the adherents of different religions to live in harmony.

The UMCA President highlighted some of the developmental strides of Governor Nasir Idris within the short period of his leadership to include distribution of free fertiliser and palliatives to farmers and people of the state.
Others include payment of scholarship to students, infrastructural development espe.cially construction of urban roads, provision of portable drinking as well as curtailing the security challenges in the state.
In his response, the Governor represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida expressed appreciation to the UMCA President for being partners in progress and their unrelenting support for Kauran Gwandu’s led administration to move Kebbi forward .

‘ This administration is not unmindful of your support and I can assure you that Kauran Gwandu is an unbiased and detribalised leader.
” I am happy to inform you that his Excellency just last night has approved the appointment of Dr. Samuel Ango Bako as a Special Adviser on Christian Affairs .
‘ On the issue of land and Ambulance, Government is on it’, he averred.
The SSG reiterated the determination to maintain harmonious relationship existing between the government and adherents of all religions in the State irrespective of sectional inclination.
