United Marketers Association of Potiskum Commends Governor Buni for Completing a New Modern Market
The United Marketers Association of Potiskum Local Government Area (UMAPO) today expressed its profound gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, for the completion of a new, modern market in Potiskum.
UMAPO leaders visited the completed market on Saturday, July 26th, 2025, following the laying of foundation stones for new roads designed to further enhance business development in the area.
The commendation follows the governor’s commitment to improving the lives of Yobe State residents through infrastructure development, particularly projects impacting health and commerce.
This new market is one of several such projects undertaken by Governor Buni.
“We must commend His Excellency, Governor Buni, for his commitment to the well-being of the people of Yobe State,” stated Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim Yayangida, Acting Chairman of UMAPO.

This modern market in Potiskum is one of several similar commercial establishments recently completed by the Governor across Yobe State.
In addition to Potiskum, these projects include new markets in Gashua, Nguru, Geidam, Damaturu, Ngalda, and Yusufari Local Government Areas.
The UMAPO’s commendation extended beyond the new market to encompass other development projects undertaken by Governor Buni, which have demonstrably improved the quality of life for Potiskum residents.
