The governor who spoke before commencing the 9th State Executive Council meeting Wednesday at the Government House, further appealed to all and sundry to join hands with his administration towards moving the state forward economically.

“”I also want to call on our attention as representatives of the people, we must ensure that all decisions of the Council will guarantee delivery of democratic, dividends, and in line with the yearnings and aspirations of the electorates, who voted us into office as promised during our electioneering  campaign””.

Continuing, the governor said his administration is working the talk as seen in the numerous

programmes introduced to cushion the effect of the harsh economy, “”amongst which includes the sales of rice and other food items at highly subsidized rates across the 23 local government areas of the state which is going on smoothly.

“”The aim is to bring soccur and relief to the people of the state following the removal of fuel subsidy and the devaluation of the naira which has greatly disrupted the purchasing power of the citizens.

“”This present administration will continue to do it the best by introducing more programmes in order to provide local solutions to our local problems. However, there is need for people to continuously extend their support and prayer to the present administration for its success, so that collectively we can achieve the desired objectives of making the state competitive in all the sectors of the economy””, governor Ahmed appealed.
