Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has said the establishment of the Nasarawa State Education Trust Fund is aimed at bridging gaps in the state’s education system.
He made this known on Wednesday at the Government House, Lafia, during the inauguration of the fund’s governing board and the swearing-in of the chairman of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC).
Sule explained that while the state has continued to invest in basic education through counterpart funding with the Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB), the scope of the board is limited to only basic education. He said the trust fund was created to address wider needs across the sector.
