YARI CONDEMNS ATTACK ON ZAMFARA APC SECRETARIAT

The former Zamfara State Gov, Abdul’aziz Yari has condemned attack on the Secretariat of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Gusau by the suspected hoodlums.

Yari made the condemnation in Talata-Mafara on Saturday while meeting with APC stakeholders from Zamfara North comprising kaura Namoda, Birnin-Magaji, Shinkafi and Zurmi LGAs.

Hoodlums had on Saturday attacked and destroyed State Secretariat of Yari’s APC faction office along bypass road Gusau.

He described the action as undemocratic and hand work of some irresponsible politicians who don’t want peace to rain in the state.

“It is suprise to us as APC members for political hoodlums to attack our office.

“This is very condemnable, I am calling on security agencies to ensure thorough investigation on the matter”, Yari said.

He called on Gov Matawalle not to accept those advising him to play bitter politics.

According to him bitter politics is not part of progressive party agendas.

Speaking to newsmen while inspection the level of damage at the Secretariat, the state APC Yari’s faction Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Liman said office properties worth millions of naira were destroyed by the hoodlums.

“All our billbords, windows and doors were destroyed and our six staff were injured.

“I am very surprised that this irresponsible politics still happening in the state.

“But we caution our members remain calm and avoid taking laws in to their hands.

“We have reported to this to the state Commissioner of police, we should allow authorities to carryout investigation” Liman said.
