YAZID DANFULANI FOUNDATION CONDUCTS FUMIGATION AGAINST MOSQUITOES IN GUSAU
A popular Humanitarian Support Foundation in Zamfara State
“Yazid-Shehu Danfulani Foundation in support of Governor Bello Matawallen Maradun” on Sunday flagged off fumigation exercise against mosquitoes in Zawiyya Community in Gusau Local Government Area.
The foundation is founded and sponsored by Zamfara Commissioner of Commerce and Industry, Alhaji Yazid Danfulani.
Speaking at the event, Yazid Danfulani represented by the state Coordinator of the Foundation, Rufa’i UB-Gusau said it was part of the foundation’s activities to commemorate the 2022 International Humanitarian Day.

“The aim of the project is to fumigate to kill the adult mosquitoes that actually spread the malaria disease.”
“This is an annual event in line with our foundation project in health sector to complement the state government efforts under Governor Bello Matawalle in malaria eradication across the state.
“We are starting with Zawiyya Community today particularly in the Zawiyya Qur’anic School considering the number of pupils in the school.
“We are going to visit many areas across the state, our target is the fumigation of all vulnerable communities.

“We are going to spray ponds, swampy areas and refuse collection centres to kill the larvae of the mosquitoes”, Danfulani said.
In his remark, Dr Atiku Balarabe Zawiyya, Special Adviser to Governor Bello Matawalle on Islamic Organizations commended the foundation for the gesture and described it as a timely and welcomed development.
“We consider this project as humanitarian service as it will help in preventing the spread of malaria in our communities.
“We pray for the sponsor and any one that contribute for the success of the exercise as it will give succour to the common man”, Dr Balarabe explained.
The Chairman Zawiyya Qur’anic School Sheikh Usman Tambuwal said the gesture is in line with the teaching of Islam.
Tambuwal called on well meaning individuals to emulate Yazid Danfulani for investing in the service to humanity.
