Yobe agency trains 40 staffers on score card development
The Yobe State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (YSCHMA), says it has trained 40 of its technical staffers on score card development.
Dr Babagana Tijjani, YSCHMA Executive Secretary, disclosed this at the closing of a-five-day capacity building workshop in Damaturu on Wednesday.
He noted that the scorecard was a statistical tool or record used in measuring achievement toward attaining a particular goal.
“ Another objective of the scorecard development is to track progress against goals and objectives of the agency. Scorecards can be used for decision making
“ It measures the performance of staff for maximum productivity,” Tijjani said.
The executive secretary expressed satisfaction with the agency’s 85 per cent enrollment target for the year 2024 and promised to sustain the progress.

He also promised to engage more consultants to expose staff of the agency to ways of implementing health financing in line with global best practice.
In his remarks, a facilitator, Mr Musa Muhammad, noted that scorecard development was critical to helping organisations to identify gaps and fill same to attain their objectives.
“ Scorecard development and training will help YSCHMA as an agency to carry out its internal analysis of knowing its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, needed for its overall success,” he said.
