Yobe ALGON Praises Buni’s giant strides.

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Yobe State chapter has unanimously passed a vote of confidence in Governor Mai Mala Buni, recognising his visionary leadership and dedication to transforming the state.
The vote of confidence was accompanied by the presentation of an award of excellence to the Governor.

The ceremony, themed “Governor Buni’s Developmental Strides: The Journey So Far,” was held at the August 27 Stadium and attended by the 17 local government chairmen under the umbrella of ALGON Yobe State chapter.
The Governor was represented by his deputy, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, at the event.
The Governor’s administration has made significant strides in improving the lives of Yobe State citizens since its inception on May 29, 2019. Some notable achievements include:
Construction and repair of roads, especially in rural areas, improving access to healthcare, schools, and employment generation,
Construction of new classrooms, laboratories, and hostels, recruitment of new teachers, and establishment of new secondary schools and colleges of education.
Upgrading and remodelling of hospitals, provision of new medical equipment, and construction of primary health care centres.

1,800 housing units are under construction in six urban centres, aiming to improve living standards.
Provision of livelihood support packages to over 5,000 internally displaced persons.
The vote of confidence passed by ALGON Yobe State chapter is a testament to Governor Buni’s commitment to good governance and his dedication to the welfare of the people of Yobe State. The award of excellence presented to him is a recognition of his outstanding leadership and service to the state.
