Yobe auditor general receives state draft financial statements for 2025 year out.

Yobe state auditor general Alhaji Mai Aliyu Umar Gulani has received the state drafted financial statements and annual accounts of Yobe for the year ended 31th December 2025.

The state auditor general said the presentation of the financial statements highlight the significant milestone in the public financial management cycle of the state and demonstrates collective commitment to transparency, accountability and responsible stewardship of public resources.
Alhaji Mai Aliyu Gulani commended governor Mai Mala Buni for his unwavering support towards strengthening public finance governance in the state.
According to him the commitment of the present administration to accountability have continued to provide an enabling environment for institutions charged with safeguarding public resources to discharge their responsibilities effectively.
The state auditor general further appreciate the support of the Yobe state house of assembly particularly the public accounts committee for their continued oversight and dedication to accountability in the management of public funds.
He applauded the strong partnership among public finance institutions in the state including ministry of finance and office of the accountant general for their tireless efforts in ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and alignment with relevant international standards in financial reporting.

The auditor general reassured the good people of the state that the office of the auditor general will continue to discharge it duties with highest level of professionalism, independence and integrity to provide credible assurance in the management and use of public resources.

Presenting the draft financial statements and annual accounts for the year ended the state accountant general Muhammad Alkali Dingiri explained that the document were presented to the auditor general as mandated by the law to scrutinized annual accounts of the state to ensure public financial management.
The accountant general highlighted that following the submission the drafted documents will be financial statements upon acted by the state auditor general.
Alkali Dingiri commended the state auditor general for his foresight in financial regulation and working synergy with relevant institutions for effective management of public resources.
