Yobe Govt, SOLID Project commence Comprehensive infrastructure Feasibility Assessment.

The Yobe State Government in collaboration with Solutions for the Internally Displaced Persons and Host Communities (SOLID) Project has launched a full-scale feasibility assessment for major road infrastructure investments across the State, starting from Damaturu.

In a statement made available to newsmen by the information and communication officer of the project Ali Musa Yawale said the exercise reflects the leadership and strategic foresight of His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN, whose commitment to modernize and upgrade urban infrastructure, and expand economic opportunities for both IDPs and host communities across the state.
A team of Engineering, Social, and Environmental experts and consultants, working alongside the SOLID team, undertake technical reviews, project screening, field assessments, and stakeholder consultation to validate and refine the proposed interventions.
The process ensures that SOLID investment is grounded in sound engineering, environmental sustainability, and social inclusion principles.

Under the Yobe State Government and His Excellency’s policy direction, the SOLID Project remains aligned with the broader vision of building a resilient, modern, and economically vibrant communities.
The Project, together with the Yobe State Government will ensure strong institutional coordination enabling timely activities delivery, and ensuring that all proposed interventions are fully assessed and planned to deliver quality outcomes.

The feasibility assessment is expected to produce critical deliverables that will ensure full adherence to engineering specifications, environmental safeguards, and social protection standards, including stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and community safety measures.
These assessment findings will shape SOLID-supported infrastructure to meet high standards of quality, sustainability, and community relevance.
