 By Yusuf Bukar Biriri.

The  General Manager of Nguiyama Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Aisami Ali Fantami, has launched an empowerment initiative for the people of Yobe State as part of efforts to boost economic opportunities for the citizens.

The empowerment programme took place at his office in Damaturu, designed to reduce youth vulnerability to crime by providing legitimate income sources,  including substantial cash donations and gifts to several groups within the community.

The empowerment packages included:  Five motorcycles, twenty small business owners received grants of N100,000 each to bolster and expand their enterprises, and thirty-two social media influencers were granted N50,000 each for data and airtime to help propagate the policies and programs of the state government under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni.

Twenty of his longtime friends were each given N200,000 to start new businesses, and an additional eleven individuals received a significant investment of N1,000,000 each to support commerce across various markets in the state.

The General Manager, Alhaji Fantami called on other philanthropists and politicians to contribute their quota by empowering youth and small business owners.

According to him, the generosity is support for the state government, stating, “We are doing this out of happiness for what Governor Mai Mala Buni has done for us. We are always with him; he is our relative, mentor, father, and brother.

“By assisting those in need, we help reduce the burden on his government and contribute to the state’s development he said.

The philanthropist concluded by urging all beneficiaries to use the resources wisely and contribute positively to their communities.
