The Yobe government has subjected its information officers to digital training on effective public communication in line with the best global  practices.

Declaring the three-day training workshop open, Gov. Mai Mala Buni, said the training was designed to expose officers with the  emerging trends in the management and  dissemination of information.

Buni, who was represented by Baba Malam-Wali, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), expressed optimism that the training would improve on their skills and knowledge.

He urged the participants to harness the power of media in order to strengthen the bond between the government and the people of the state.

“To this end I have approved the allocation of one smartphone and one laptop for each of the participants,” the governor said.
